I am a veteran of the armed forces and have a background in engineering. My career with the North West Ambulance Service has made me very aware of the needs of the people in our area and, as Mayor, I aim to serve the people in Westhoughton in whatever way that I can"

“I feel honoured and delighted to be elected as Deputy Mayor of Westhoughton for 2024-25. I am looking forward to supporting Cllr Neil Maher, in his role as Mayor and Chair of Westhoughton Town Council, and his wife Cllr Linda Maher as Mayoress.
My consort for the year will be my friend and colleague Cllr Alison Jackson. We will endeavour to represent the people and town of Westhoughton with dignity and integrity, when deputising for the Mayor and Mayoress.
It will be an interesting and exciting year for us and we are looking forward to meeting groups and individuals around Westhoughton and beyond.”
